The Debmarine Namibia Premiership concludes this weekend, with some teams to be relegated and one to be crowned as a champion.

As things stand, African Stars football club are heading in the final weekend expected to seal their consecutive title.

Stars are three points clear of Ongos FC with a superior goal difference.

The only team that still stand a slide but impossible chance are Ongos FC who will need to score 15 goals, while hoping that Stars loses in their final match.

African Stars captain Ronald Ketjijere expressed confidence that they will be celebrating this weekend.

"It is impossible for us not to win the title this weekend.

"I think it is fair enough to say that it is coming home and nothing can change that.

"We go into the last matches without taking any prisoners and we will play our hearts out as we have played the entire season,"Ketjijere said.

The champions will battle traditional rivals Orlando Pirates in the final match of the season.

A victory for Stars will not only seal the title in what has been a dramatic season but will also potentially send their old traditional rivals Orlando Pirates into relegation.

Pirates are desperately in need of a win while hoping the Julinho FC and Okakarara Young Warriors final match of the season counts in their favor.

Khomas Nampol FC who are two points behind Ongos are well aware that they could still finish second if they win their last match.

That can however only happen if Ongos loses to Young African on Saturday.

Khomas Nampol FC coach Fortune Eichab said that he is proud of the players.

"Yes, there is a huge possibility that we can still finish second.

"I am proud of the players and the entire team for what we have achieved.

"Our initial goal was to survive but today we are in the top three above teams that have been in the Premiership for so long,"Eichab said.

Life Fighters FC will play their final match having been relegated last weekend.

Fighters joins the likes of former Premiership teams Eleven Arrows and Black Africa who were relegated last season.

All the Premiership matches will be played on Saturday in different towns.

Tigers FC will battle Civics, while Khomas Nampol take on Young Brazilians FC.

Unam FC host Life Fighters FC at the Unam Stadium, with Blue Waters entertaining Okahandja United.

Julinho Sporting and Okakrara will square off in a relegation fight match as Mighty Gunners take on Mighty Gunners FC in Otjiwarongo.
