Honours even for Amavila vs Rossouw

Namibian junior middleweight Paulus Amavila battled to a draw in a hard-fought six-round bout against Darrin Rossouw of South Africa at Emperors Palace on Saturday night.

After six action-packed rounds, the closely contested fight was declared a draw.

The 25-year-old Rossouw, from Nelson Mandela Bay, now has a record of eight wins (4 knockouts), three losses and one draw.

His 32-year-old Namibian opponent now stands at ten wins (five knockouts), four losses and two draws.

Amavila, known as a determined fighter, exchanged heavy shots with Rossouw in a bout that kept the crowd entertained from the opening bell to the final round.

“Paulus showed heart, power, and composure tonight,” said AC Promotions owner Imms Moses.

“We are proud of his performance and are confident this is just another step forward in his journey,” he added.
