Walvis Bay businessman Wilhelm Nghishekwa walked away N$1 million richer on Saturday after winning JSB Sports Betting’s nine-month Millionaire Mania campaign in Windhoek.

Nghishekwa’s name was drawn from 24 Golden Ticket finalists during the live finale at the Zest Opera House, bringing one of the company’s biggest national promotions to a close.

The finalists had advanced through a series of draws involving customers from towns and regions across the country, with each in contention for the N$1 million grand prize.

The finale, attended by the finalists and JSB leadership, concluded a campaign that ran from 1 September 2025 to 24 May 2026.

Speaking moments after the draw, Nghishekwa said he was delighted with the result and planned to invest the prize money in his business.

He also thanked JSB Betting, saying: “JSB Betting is the only betting that gives back to the people.”

Road to N$1m

Millionaire Mania was open to all JSB customers, who could qualify for monthly Silver Ticket draws by placing a single sportsbook bet of N$25 or more.

Silver Ticket holders then advanced to live Golden Ticket draws, which provided the only route into the N$1 million finale.

They were also required to place a bet of at least N$25 each month to keep their tickets valid.

JSB said every draw was conducted through an independently supervised random process, while Golden Ticket finalists had to attend the finale in person to remain eligible.

Although only Nghishekwa walked away with the N$1 million grand prize, all 24 finalists received prizes on the day.

JSB Sports Betting managing trustee Jayson Zulch said the campaign had achieved its objective of creating Namibia’s next millionaire.

“In 2025 we launched Millionaire Mania with a simple goal: to create Namibia’s next millionaire.

“Thousands of players placed their bets, climbed through the ranks and held onto their tickets for this very moment.

“Thank you for choosing JSB as your number one betting destination, and for being part of the JSB family,” said Zulch.
