Show time approaches at Ramatex

The MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy held its open media workout yesterday as the boxers prepares for this weekend’s big bouts.

The biggest stars of Namibian boxing will be in action on Saturday night at the Ramatex hall in Windhoek.

Phillipus “Energy” Nghitumbwa squares off against China’s Dekang Wang for the WBO international super bantamweight title, while renowned boxers such as Jeremiah Nakathila, John John Njolonimus and Mathias Heita will all be in action on the night.

Tobias will be hosting the event dedicated in honour of the late president Hage Geingob.

The bonanza will also see female boxers in action, with the names still to be revealed.

Tobias also used yesterday’s press conference to announce that Marigold Hotel has joined as a sponsor for this event, by assisting the academy with accommodation and meals worth N$56 000 for the officials and boxers fighting on the night.

General tickets are selling at Webtickets for N$50, with VIP access going for N$200 and a table of 10 comprised of box, wine and dine costing N$20 000.
