SNC Incorporated has committed N$45 000 towards the third edition of the Nakabolelwa Annual Tournament, set to take place from 22 to 24 December in Zambezi Region's Nakabolelwa village in the Kabbe South Constituency.

The sponsorship will support both football and netball, with the firm saying sport remains a key platform for identifying and developing talent in rural communities.

Managing partner Shakwa Nyambe said the tournament has grown into a unifying community event. “It is a privilege to support an initiative that continues to bring people together while giving young athletes a chance to compete and improve,” he said.

Organisers have also introduced the top goal scorer (football) and best shooter (netball) awards this year. Engagements with a sponsor for these prizes are ongoing and will be announced once finalised. The organising committee has appealed to individuals and companies to come on board as additional sponsors.

Last year’s tournament, also sponsored by SNC Incorporated, attracted a total of N$ 25 000 in sponsorship. Football champions Black African won N$3 500, a trophy and medals after defeating Eleven Arrows 1-0 in the final. Invilivinzi claimed third place with a 2-1 win over Young Stars.

In netball, Flying Stars lifted the trophy after edging Invilivinzi 11-9 in the final, while Lwanyanda secured third place with a 12-2 victory over Masikili.
