Top gymnasts eye glory at Belgium Happy Cup

Namibia’s finest rhythmic gymnasts are eyeing glory as they prepare to represent the country at the rhythmic gymnastics Happy Cup in Ghent, Belgium, from today until Sunday. The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) global showpiece will see Namibia field eight athletes. Pictured from left are Jayd Pretorius, coach and Brevet judge Roumi Kostin, Kenandjo Mupia, Brevet judge Britt Adonis-Byl, Gabriella Johannes, Faiza Hamutenya, coach Eleonora Karamfilova, Christina Theron, Kayla Duchaine and Zara Duchaine. Meggi Shiweda is also part of the entourage. The contingent was sponsored by Checkers Namibia, which provided suitcases, Schaaprust Lodging and Camping, which provided branding, and the Pretorius family, who donated backpacks.
