In an action-packed evening at Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) last weekend, the Khomas Basketball Association (KBA) Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2 finals kicked off with thrilling matchups.

In the Men's Premier League, the Unam Rebels secured a hard-fought 69-64 victory over the Unam Wolves in a closely contested encounter.

Speaking to Sport Wrap, Rebels’ shooting guard Mabeth Kazerua admitted that they knew it was not going to be an easy game, but they had a “strategy to edge out Wolves, and it worked perfectly.”

On the Women’s side, Unam Phoenix delivered a commanding performance, dominating Atlantic Storm with a convincing 99-43 win in the first game of the Women’s Premier League finals.

Unam Phoenix’s captain, Jennifer Linda, stated that the team brought its A-game to the finals. “It’s only the beginning of the series. We are prepared for more and hoping for a clean sweep.”

The Premier League's next matches are set to take place today, starting at 18:30, at the Unam Gym Hall.
