Celebrating Valentine’s Day the WHS way

Hein de Villiers
On 14 February, everyone woke up to an atmosphere radiating a strong sense of glee and love. What was the reason? Valentine’s Day, of course! That day, a lot of the learners from grade 10 to 12 went home after school to get dressed in their semi-formal attire; soon they would arrive at the Huis Dreyer cafeteria for their exclusive Valentine’s Dance! Single or taken, alone or with a group of friends, the dance catered to all! With a diverse music playlist, beautiful decorations and good vibes, everyone spent the first hours of the evening creating fun memories and taking a break from their harsh academics.

Platonic or romantic, everyone felt the love in the air. The night was a proven success, with everyone returning back home with new pictures to frame and videos to look back on.
