Honouring excellence in language proficiency
A vision for education
Mahalie's journey from a student at PK De Villiers Secondary School to a celebrated fashion stylist is an inspiring tale of ambition and perseverance. Recognising the transformative power of education, Mahalie is determined to inspire and motivate current students to excel academically. He envisions his alma mater becoming a beacon of educational brilliance, and the introduction of the Reinhard Mahalie English Laurel Floating Trophies is a significant step in this direction.
The inaugural ceremony of the Reinhard Mahalie English Laurel Floating Trophies celebrated two exceptional students. Shahida Engelbrecht and Christa Shapaka were the first recipients of this prestigious honour. Their dedication to language proficiency, linguistic prowess and academic excellence served as a testament to the importance of nurturing language skills.
Sponsorship for excellence
Mahalie's commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence in language proficiency is further demonstrated by his generous sponsorship of N$10 000. This financial support will enable the initiative to acknowledge and celebrate students who have demonstrated outstanding linguistic abilities, a deep passion for language and a commitment to academic excellence.
The Reinhard Mahalie English Laurel Floating Trophies are more than just awards; they are symbols of achievement and motivation. These trophies represent the highest standards of language proficiency and academic dedication. Through this initiative, Mahalie aims to instil a sense of pride and accomplishment in students while encouraging them to reach greater heights in their education.
