I-Care celebrates nursing graduates

The I-Care Health Training Institute held its highly anticipated oath-taking and graduation ceremonies last Thursday and Friday, respectively, in Windhoek.

The ceremonies brought together a diverse and accomplished group of nursing undergraduates to jumpstart their professional journeys.

The oath-taking ceremony, in particular, is significant because it symbolises nursing graduates' solemn commitment to the noble cause of serving and caring for others.

When these dedicated individuals publicly pledge their loyalty and dedication to the nursing profession, it is a deeply moving event. As the students took their oath, they had an opportunity to reflect on the enormous responsibility they were about to take on.

Over 1 000 graduates were awarded their qualifications.

Pivotal role in society

Founder and director of the I-Care Health Training Institute, Johannes George, commended the students for their exceptional efforts and unwavering dedication throughout their academic journey.

He praised their resilience, sacrifice and countless hours of hard work, emphasising the pivotal role they would soon play in the healthcare sector.

George assured the graduates that their alma mater was fully prepared and committed to imparting quality knowledge and skills.

He reiterated the institute's unwavering dedication to producing highly competent and compassionate healthcare professionals who would make a meaningful impact on the lives of their patients.

The academic dean of the Institution, Oluwasen Olafusi, encouraged the graduates to step into the world of healthcare armed with the confidence and competence they had acquired during their time at the institute.

Olafusi emphasised the importance of providing exceptional services and reminded the graduates of the immense responsibility that lay before them.

A calling

The oath-taking and graduation events served as a reminder that nursing is not merely a profession but a calling.

The events celebrated the students' successful completion of their training while also marking the beginning of their journey as healthcare professionals.
