My Zone TV
Your story, your voice in broadcast
On Friday, 18 August, the My Zone team is setting up for something new and exciting! The My Zone TV youth campaign will empower schools throughout the country through broadcasting. The first stop of the campaign will be at Academia Secondary School in the capital, and we'll be headed over to Jan Mohr Secondary School.
“My Zone TV will be empowering schools under the My Zone schools project to share their voices through broadcasting,” Octavia Tsibes, the head of My Zone, said.
The 59 schools under the project will be given an opportunity to create videos about their various school events, share extraordinary stories about their schools and give insight into the culture at the school.
“Video is an expressive way for the learners to share their stories and will give a first-hand insight on the stories that remain untold in schools across the country,” campaign coordinator Ingrid Booysen said.
She added that learners will be capturing their own content that will be sent through to the My Zone team, which will in turn empower the learners to explore their creativity.
