Oshana Region governor pays visit
The governor issued a challenge to the learners of Oshakati Secondary School, expressing his desire for a 75% promotion rate this year.
On 15 March, Oshana Region Governor Elia Irimari paid a visit to Oshakati Secondary School to talk to the learners about the school’s academic performance and the challenges the school faces.The governor was accompanied by deputy education director Hilma Nuunyango-George and school inspector Eliakim Hamulenge.
The special visitors took a tour of the school to assess its infrastructure and interact with the learners.
The learners at Oshakati Secondary School were excited about the visit.
During her speech, Nuunyango-George listed the challenges the school faces, including factors that affect academic performance, such as a lack of discipline among learners.
Irimari motivated the learners to be strong, dedicated to their studies, and to work hard.
Sharing his story of how he became governor, he said: "In life, anything is possible if you work hard". The governor issued a challenge to the learners of Oshakati Secondary School, expressing his desire for a 75% promotion rate this year.
The visit was greatly appreciated, leaving the learners motivated to excel and maintain discipline among themselves.
