A day of talent and athleticism

On 22 January 2026, Jan Möhr Secondary School hosted its Grade 8 Athletics Day on the school sports field.

The event was brimming with excitement and school spirit as learners competed in their house colours: orange, blue and white. From early in the morning, Grade 8 learners gathered on the field, dressed in their team colours and ready to participate.

The day began with a short welcome and warm-up session before the track and field events officially kicked off. Learners took part in thrilling competitions such as the 100-metre and 200-metre races, high jump, relay races, long jump and shot put.

Cheers from the teams created an energetic atmosphere that motivated everyone to give their best.

Each team displayed determination, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. Some athletes impressed the crowd with their speed and strength, while others stood out for their positive attitude and encouragement of teammates.

By the end of the day, the field was filled with smiles and celebration.

The Grade 8 Athletics Day was a memorable event that fostered unity and pride at the school.
