A night in Vegas

The excitement was surreal as our school’s highly anticipated annual dance finally arrived.

This year, the theme was “A Night in Vegas”, promising an evening filled with bright lights, food, fancy mocktails and, of course, lots of dancing! Weeks of anticipation had led to this moment, and everyone was eager to step into a world of glamour and entertainment.

As the evening grew closer, the atmosphere was bittersweet, everyone had enjoyed the night so much that they didn’t want it to end.

As students left the venue, they carried with them memories of laughter, dancing, and an unforgettable “Night in Vegas.”

The dance being semi-formal, allowed people to dress both fancy and casual. The boys dressed in some decent fashionable clothes, some showed up in shorts and a t-shirt, while the girls dazzled in glamorous dresses. Some girls wore black dresses with sneakers and others went full out with sequins gowns and heels.

On the other hand the guppies (grade 8’s) all had to show up with their school uniform.

As the DJ started playing, the dance floor got heated. Classical sokkie music mixed with pop hits kept everyone moving. The energy was electric, with students laughing, spinning, singing along and simply just having fun by embracing the moment.
