Emily Haungeya excels in National Boxing Trials

Emily Haungeya, a grade 10 learner at Coastal High School, is making waves in the boxing world after her outstanding performance at the recent national trials in Grootfontein. Competing against participants from all 14 regions of Namibia, Emily emerged as the best female boxer, a remarkable achievement that highlights her talent and determination.

Reflecting on her journey, Emily shared that the trials were challenging, as she had to compete in two bouts on the same day. In her weight class, she faced stiff competition from three other skilled boxers, but her hard work and resilience paid off.

Emily began her boxing journey at just 10 years old. She acknowledges that it hasn’t been an easy road, but her passion for the sport and her dedication to training have brought her this far.

Her achievement at the trials is a source of pride for her school and community, inspiring others to pursue their dreams regardless of the obstacles. Emily’s success is a testament to her commitment and the bright future she holds in the boxing industry.
