Valentine’s Day at Jan Möhr Secondary School this year was truly unforgettable. The school was filled with excitement, laughter and warmth as students celebrated love in all its forms. From beautifully decorated classrooms to the lively sports grounds, every corner reflected the spirit of the day. Hearts, balloons and thoughtful messages created an atmosphere of joy that made everyone feel included and appreciated.

One of the most memorable highlights was the romantic proposals. Some were sweet and shy, with quiet words and thoughtful gestures that melted hearts. Others were bold and dramatic, full of energy, creativity and courage, drawing the attention of everyone nearby. Whether big or small, each proposal was a reminder that love is not measured by grand gestures alone; it is about honesty, connection and the confidence to express your feelings openly.

However, Valentine’s Day at Jan Möhr is about more than romantic love. It is also a celebration of friendship, kindness and the sense of community within the school. Students exchanged heartfelt cards, small gifts and encouraging words, creating moments of happiness that went beyond couples. Friends laughed together, classmates cheered one another on, and teachers joined in the celebrations, adding to the warmth and unity of the day.

The Learners’ Representative Council (LRC) played an important role in making the celebration a success. Members worked tirelessly to organise fun activities and a lively sports tournament, ensuring every student had the opportunity to participate, bond with peers and create lasting memories. The tournament showcased teamwork, sportsmanship and positivity, proving that care and appreciation can be expressed not only through words, but also through support and encouragement.

Valentine’s Day at Jan Möhr was a reminder that love can be found in everyday moments - in a kind word, a smile, a supportive gesture, or simply being there for someone. Whether students received a proposal, made one or simply shared a joyful moment with friends, the day highlighted the importance of community, empathy and celebration.

This Valentine’s Day was not just about chocolates or flowers; it was about connection, joy and memories that will last. Jan Möhr Secondary once again showed that love - whether romantic, friendly or communal -brings people together, leaving hearts full and smiles lingering long after the day had ended.
