After weeks of rigorous training and preparation, the Windhoek Technical High School netball girls’ team took to the courts at the NSSU Championships held on 29 and 30 August at Windhoek Gymnasium Secondary School. Their hard work paid off, as the team not only won all their matches but also walked away as champions.

The highlight of the tournament was their intense final against Ella du Plessis Secondary School. Though the team started off shaky in the first quarter, they quickly found their rhythm in the second quarter and played with exceptional skill and teamwork.

Captain Utemisa Kambatuku shared her pride in the team’s performance: “We started off a bit shaky, but once we settled in, we stepped up our game. I am extremely proud of the way the girls pulled together and delivered.”

The victory earned the team the cup and the opportunity to represent the school at the Under-19 Nationals, solidifying their place as one of the top netball teams in the region.
