On 6 March 2025, Delta held its annual Interhouse Athletics Day, a day filled with excitement and opportunities for learners to showcase their skills and talents.

All learners were divided into different teams - Alpha, Beta and Gamma - to compete for the title of Interhouse Champions of 2025. Points were awarded to each team based on the number of learners who participated in events, as well as overall behaviour on the day.

Learners, teachers, and former Delterians enjoyed the day and were impressed by the talent on display.

Trust Mwikanda from Gamma said, “I did not expect much; however, as time passed, the day got better and better,” while Asante Uuyuni, a Grade 11 Gamma spirit leader, said, “The day was amazing. It highlighted our team’s athleticism.”

Each team danced to show their enthusiasm. Likewise, the spirit leaders kept the excitement going by singing, chanting, and boosting team morale, making the day even more enjoyable.

Tjivikara Kandjii, an AS-level learner from Beta, said, “Even though we lost the battle today, we have not yet lost the war.”

The day ended with Gamma earning the most points, and they were crowned the Interhouse Champions.
