Romarique KotzeOur nation mourns the loss of our first president, a man who sacrificed so much for our freedom. I believe we should respect the mourning period to truly honour his immense contributions. He envisioned a unified Namibia, where black and white stand together, and that's the legacy we must uphold. The past is behind us; today is a gift, and the future is ours to shape. Let us build the nation he dreamed of, together, as one.

It not only demonstrates respect but also expresses our shared humanity and sympathy. As a gesture of respect and humanity, it is only fitting that this protocol has been put in place. It fosters unity and reinforces the solemnity of this mourning period. The late president was not only a leader but also a devoted family man who paved the way for our country’s freedom. The least we can do is honour his legacy with this effort.
